The Initial Consultation can be carried out in person in the comfort of your own home or via telehealth (i.e. videoconferencing or over the phone). During the Initial Consultation, we will discuss the history of your condition, undergo functional assessments, discuss your needs and goals for the program, as well as how the program will run in terms of the number of visits, the frequency of visits and where the exercise sessions will be held.
We will discuss the location of your exercise sessions during the Initial Consultation where we will identify an environment that you would like to exercise in, whether that be your home, local park, pool or gym. As self-management is the overarching goal of the program, it is important to consider a location that you can continue exercising in once you are finished the program and no longer seeing your Exercise Physiologist.
